Refund policy
Our goal is to help you get the right gear for your adventure. Adventure Essentials LLC is your first point of contact for purchases made through our store, including products shipped directly by a supplier.
Start a return
Email support@adventureessentials.co within 30 calendar days after delivery. Include your order number, the item you want to return, and the reason. Include photos if the item is damaged, defective, incorrect, or incomplete.
Please wait for written return authorization and the correct shipping address before sending anything back. Products may need to go to a supplier or fulfillment partner. Do not send a return to our business office or an address found on a manufacturer's website unless we specifically authorize it.
Ordinary-return eligibility
Most standard products must be new, unused, uninstalled, unmodified, and complete with their original packaging, accessories, hardware, and documentation. Package returns securely and follow the shipping deadline in your authorization. Request approval before the 30-day window closes; the approved shipping instructions will state the dispatch deadline.
Standard apparel must be unworn, unwashed, and free of stains, odors, or damage, with original tags where supplied. Trying on apparel for fit does not by itself make it ineligible.
Installed or used items are not eligible for a change-of-mind return. Potential defects remain subject to our Warranty & Product Claims Policy and applicable consumer rights.
Product-specific exceptions
Personalized, custom-built, made-to-order, and clearance items are final sale only when identified as such before purchase. A discount alone does not make an item final sale. Gift cards are not redeemable for cash except where required by law.
Different brand-specific return windows, exclusions, or fees will be disclosed on the product page or otherwise clearly before purchase. Restrictions do not eliminate remedies for defective, damaged, or incorrect goods where required by law.
Return shipping and fees
For eligible change-of-mind returns, including customer-selected incorrect fitment or apparel sizing, the customer pays return shipping. Original shipping charges are normally non-refundable for these ordinary returns. We recommend tracked shipping and keeping the receipt.
No general restocking or processing fee applies to eligible standard products unless a specific fee was disclosed before purchase. Do not assume that one manufacturer's fee applies to every brand.
DIRT KING PRODUCTS
Eligible voluntary returns of Dirt King products are subject to a 3% processing fee plus a 7% restocking fee, for a total deduction of 10% of the returned merchandise purchase price. Original shipping charges are not refunded for these ordinary returns, and the customer pays return shipping. Contact Adventure Essentials within 30 calendar days after delivery; products must be new and meet the ordinary-return eligibility requirements above. We will coordinate authorization and the correct return destination with Dirt King.
Custom powder-coating charges are non-refundable for voluntary returns. The underlying parts may still qualify for an authorized return subject to the ordinary Dirt King return fees. Cancellation requests, clearance items and other special circumstances require review; do not assume that a fee waiver or refund is approved until we confirm it in writing. Fees are calculated on eligible returned merchandise, not shipping or tax; applicable refunded tax is adjusted appropriately.
These voluntary-return fees do not automatically apply to warranty claims, shipping damage, incorrect goods, supplier/store cancellations, or refunds required by law.
Damaged, defective, incorrect, or missing items
Contact us promptly and before installation. Keep the item, packaging, labels, and any quality-control tag, and provide photos. We will investigate and coordinate a remedy and any necessary return instructions. Please do not buy return shipping until we have advised you how to proceed.
For confirmed fulfillment errors attributable to Adventure Essentials or our supplier, we will arrange necessary return shipping without an ordinary-return shipping charge to you. For manufacturing defects, shipping responsibility and remedies depend on applicable warranty terms and law; we will explain the approved process. These claims are not treated as routine change-of-mind returns.
Cancellations and order changes
Contact us as soon as possible. A cancellation request is not complete until we confirm it. Once an order has shipped, an eligible return is required instead.
Custom or made-to-order products may become non-cancellable after production begins if this restriction was clearly disclosed before purchase. Any permitted voluntary-cancellation fee must have been disclosed before purchase.
If we or our supplier cannot fulfill your order, or you exercise a legally required shipping-delay cancellation option, we will provide the required full refund for unshipped merchandise and applicable charges without processing or restocking deductions.
Exchanges
Contact us for sizing or fitment assistance before placing a replacement order. Exchanges depend on stock and may be handled as an authorized return followed by a new purchase. Applicable ordinary-return shipping and disclosed fees still apply; we will explain the process first.
Refunds
We will notify you after the return has been received and inspected. Approved ordinary-return refunds will be initiated to the original payment method within five business days after inspection is completed. Your bank or payment provider may take additional time to post the credit. Any disclosed deductions will be itemized. Refunds required by law follow applicable deadlines and are not conditioned on our supplier reimbursing us first.
Missing components, use, damage, or inadequate packaging may affect eligibility or the refunded amount; we will explain any adjustment. We will not impose an undisclosed supplier fee retroactively.
Your rights
